Proof TypesPensacolaprint.com offers two types of proofs
made from your files. Please take time to view your proof paying
special attention to all text used, position of elements and
color. Once approved to print your job will be printed. Online ProofMeans that once your files have been successfully received and processed by our prepress specialists a PDF file will be generated and prepared for you to view. The PDF file is NOT the file that will be used to print. It is a complete and accurate low resolution preview of the files you provide. If your printed material is to be folded or die cut an additional file with lines indicating where the folds and or cuts will take place. You will need to view both of the files with and without indicating lines and approve both proofs. Please note, however, that this proof is not 100% color accurate due to the various monitor configurations. Physical Proof - MatchprintIf color is absolutely of must match importance this is the recommended proof. This proof is generated from the same PDF file you would be emailed if you chose the Online Proof. It is created using our high-end proofing device specifically calibrated to our Heidelberg presses. The color you see on this physical proof will be printed within a 5% accuracy. This proof is printed on a special fine toothed material that allows the color to be accurate whether it will be printed on a glossy stock or matte coated stock. If your printed material is to be folded or die cut, this proof will also reflect this either by lines or actually cut down and folded to your specifications. This Physical proof must be signed, dated and sent back to us. The proof must be received prior to the printing of your job. The term physical proof is used due to the direct
to plate technology that Pensacolaprint.com uses which does not require
negatives to be made therefore a matchprint or color key is not
generated from negatives. The output file use to make the
physical proof is also used to generate the plates. |
